1. Acceptance of terms

I’m Umer Farooq, and I built and run VOOCalculator.com (the “Site”) on my own. By accessing or using it, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you don’t agree with any part of them, please don’t use the Site.

2. Description of the service

This Site provides free, browser-based calculators to help visitors explore hypothetical investment scenarios related to the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (ticker: VOO), including projected growth, historical backtests, dividend income projections, and personal position tracking. Every calculation runs locally in your browser using the inputs you provide — nothing you type is sent to me.

3. No financial, tax, or legal advice

I’m not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, or financial planner, and nothing here should be read as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. Talk to a qualified, licensed financial advisor, accountant, or attorney before making any investment decision.

4. Accuracy of calculations and data

Reference figures on the Site — VOO’s share price, dividend yield, expense ratio, historical annual returns — are approximate, may be delayed, and may not reflect real-time market conditions. Calculator outputs are hypothetical projections built from assumptions you enter or that I provide as defaults; they’re not predictions, guarantees, or promises of future performance. Actual investment results will vary, sometimes significantly, from anything shown by these tools.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Site or its underlying systems
• Scrape, copy, or republish substantial portions of the Site’s content or code without permission
• Use automated means (bots, scripts) to access the Site at a rate no human could reasonably produce in the same period

6. Intellectual property

The design, text, calculators, and underlying code of this Site are mine unless otherwise noted, and are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property law. “VOO” is a ticker symbol and trademark of its respective owner, used here solely for identification and commentary — that use doesn’t imply any affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement.

7. Third-party links

This Site may link to third-party websites — brokers, Vanguard’s own site, and similar — that I don’t own or control. I’m not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site, and a link here doesn’t imply my endorsement of it.

8. Disclaimers

This Site and its tools are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. I don’t warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I won’t be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or connected to your use of, or inability to use, this Site or its calculators — including any investment losses resulting from reliance on figures or projections shown here.

You agree to indemnify and hold me harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Site or your violation of these Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in my jurisdiction of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable local consumer protection law requires otherwise.

12. Changes to these terms

I may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms. I’ll update the dates at the top of this page whenever I make a change.
